Independent Producer in the North of England
Championing Diverse, Female, Neurodivergent and Emerging Filmmaking Talent
About Four Horses Films
Four Horses Films was founded by a Northern England-based producer dedicated to bringing bold stories, emerging talent, and underrepresented voices to the screen.
As a film producer, I work with writers, directors, and creatives to develop scripts, secure opportunities, and guide projects from concept to production. My aim is to support filmmakers across the North of England, helping transform original ideas into compelling films while strengthening creative opportunities outside traditional industry hubs.
Stongest through diversity
Four Horses Films was founded on the belief that great stories can come from anywhere, and that the film industry is strongest when it reflects the diversity of the people who create and watch it.
As a female producer, I am passionate about addressing the gender imbalance that exists across the industry. I actively champion opportunities for women and female-identifying filmmakers, creating pathways for talent that has too often been overlooked.
As someone with diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, I am equally committed to advocating for neurodivergent and disabled creatives. Four Horses Films strives to foster inclusive, accessible working environments where neurodivergent talent can thrive, contribute, and lead.
A different perspective
Representation behind the camera is just as important as representation on screen, and I believe the industry benefits enormously when different perspectives are welcomed and valued.
My journey into film is a later-in-life career transition shaped by resilience, determination, and parenthood. As a single mother, I understand the challenges many parents face when trying to restart, progress, or reinvent their careers after raising children. Creativity, ambition, and professional growth do not have an expiry date, and parenthood should never be a barrier to meaningful opportunities in the creative industries.
At Four Horses Films, we are committed to developing authentic stories, nurturing emerging filmmakers, and building a more inclusive future for independent film production in the North of England and beyond.
